So I'm Not the World's Best Blogger...

Peggy-dove in head first as usual and got involved in MOPS, Bible Study, and church, met a few new friends-spent lots of time missing old friends (still do that often actually!), continued Pampered Chef and now starting to work on Freelance Copywriting career-yes, my elementary school writing lessons are all coming back to me! Enjoying time with family here-especially my new nephew Liam born Apr. 14th! My sister's first-how fun to be an aunt! I joined Lifetime Fitness, so now most days are spent working out and then hanging out at that fancy pool with the boys. Now, just trying to wrap my brain around sending Nicholas to kindergarten in a few weeks and what that new life will look like for all of us!
Nicholas-didn't miss a beat and fit right in to life here in SA, made friends at school, church, and MOPS and had an awesome year at prek! He can hardly wait for next year. He still asks about having "Dallas friends" over to play and enjoyed our trip up there in March to visit everyone. He loves to swim and has really gotten pretty good at it the last month or so. He has loved being so close to our lakehouse (so have we)-we've been several times this summer and he has become the king of the fish, catching several fish every trip. It is crazy!! Nicholas can hardly wait for kindergarten as he tells me everytime we drive past the new school being built down the street. He'll be the first kinder class in the new building. Fun!!
Logan-will be two next month! How time flies! He had a rough start here and cried pretty much every time we dropped him off ANYWHERE until January. After the hospital visit and move, he just wasn't so sure about being separated from mom and dad. He did finally get used to his Mother's Day Out teacher and then quickly fell in love-"Bal-ree" (Valerie) loved him just as much! He is saying lots of things now including full sentences of words that no one knows but him. Nicholas likes to try and translate, but it's not too helpful. Logan will go to MDO two days a week in the fall, so he'll have 3 days with mom each week-ought to be interesting! He's at the top of the charts in height & weight-shaping up to be "David sized!!"
We are still going to church and in community group with Shane & Stephanie Patrick (they were at Watermark but we didn't really know each other). We LOVE our community group, and like our church ok. It may not be where we stay, but it works for us for now. Our neighborhood is growing quickly-but it's no Lake Highlands. People just aren't as connected as they are there. We have had two block parties (that I got roped into planning-I just wanted to make some friends in the 'hood!) and met some people through that, but I am hopeful that we'll make more friends who live nearby when Nick starts school.
I think that about wraps up the last year. I promise to work harder on doing more frequent updates so you won't have novels to read each time.
Here are some more pics of life here in SA...
That's all for now,
We'd love for you to come down and see us!
He jumped on in before clothing removal...always up to something!
